There are festivals you go to. And then there are festivals you somehow keep finding your way back to.
Welcome to The Order of Mieliepop.
A gathering of music, mischief, nature and a few things we probably shouldn't explain too literally.
For a few days, we leave the ordinary world behind and head somewhere a little stranger. Somewhere the music plays a little later, the sun feels a little warmer, and the strangers you meet on Thursday becomes family by Saturday.
Mieliepop is built on music, nature and radical inclusion. Come exactly as you are. Find your people. Meet new ones. Dance with strangers. Sit under the stars. Follow the music. Follow the strange little signs. Trust in The Mielie. It's watching out for you.
There is no initiation ceremony. There is no secret handshake. There may, however, be flower crowns.
